Bleary week.

Disappointment.
My hopes are dashed, and I feel lost.
What should I do, where would I go?
My plans have been ruined...

I'm BACK!

Boy, am I glad to be back!

The ride was endless... sleepy, dusty, we only managed to reach home at abt 2am Monday morning.

I don't know why the ride this time round seemed never-ending. My bum still hurts from seating so long on the bike.

The stay at Hatyai was enjoyable though. We shopped and dined... we even visited our fav hangout called the West Side - popular for its live band. We were pleasantly surprised that they recognized us from our last visit.

Neverthelessly, I'm still glad to be back. We'll be preparing for our next trip to Ko Samui come 11th April!

Leaving today...

its confirmed! we're leaving tonight for Hatyai, a 8 to 9hr ride from Singapore. I'm so stressed! I've not packed, the jackets are still in the cupboard - yet to be aired, and i still haven't got my riding boots!

Its gonna be a long ride, but I'm starting to look forward to it. Just worried if I'll be able to do everything before our trip at 9pm tonight.

I'm trying my best to remember all the Thai words I've learnt on our previous trip. So sawardee-ka (for woman, for man its sawardee-kap) peeps.. I'll be back on Monday to update you!

Riding Trip

ok.. you all may not know this abt me yet. My husband is a bike lover. He's been in love with two-wheelers since he was young and we got our first bike long, long ago. He's been a mat motor since what seems like forever and he's been through all the stages :-

Bike 1 - TZR 125 (also his NS days)
- new 'L'earner (just after he got his riding license)
- pizza delivery guy

Bike 2 - TZR 250 & Vespa
- despatch rider
- budak moto stage

KR
- mat 'racer' (god - i hated this, worried abt him every night that he's out with frenz)

Super 4
- abang-abang stage (starting to take it easy)

African Twin
- tourer
- relak one corner stage

So many memories of our early days involved two-wheelers. I still rememer the days when I was in poly when he would come to fetch me from class. The day we sold off our first bike, both of us shed tears (well, he still claims that he only 'Nearly' shed tears). I also remember that day when he was involved in a terrible accident and was't able to ride for a few months.. Those were the days.

With his African Twin, I'm glad that his racing days are over. He no longer feels the need for spped (at least I hope not!). But his new interest now is riding long distances. We've already been to Hatyai and Koh Samui for our honeymoon and he often talks of wanting to go further.

We'll be riding to Koh Samui again in April. We love that place! Memories of the island keeps on haunting us, and I can't wait to be back. To me, its not abt the partying or the swimming/diving. But its the sea.. the endless blue sky, the white sandy beach, the constant holiday atmosphere... So, i can't wait!

We're also going to Hatyai again tomorrow night. Its just a short trip to get ourselves a new seat. They do it real good there. Cheap and good.

Frankly, I'm torn. After our last accident (during the journey back to Koh Samui last Jul), I can't help feeling a bit apprehensive. I'd love to go, but something's bugging me. Haiyz.. is it just me? Tomorrow's trip is really important to me. I'd like to get myself over the hurdle. I hate this nagging feeling, and i dun wanna feel stressed everytime i climb on board. I want to feel as free as i used to feel. I need to...

Great company.

These are the girls I met last night.
From strangers we became class mates, project mates great company and eventually the bestest of friends.
They're now a part of me and I thank them for being there for me, always when I needed them.
Love you gals!

Random Thoughts

I felt like Superwoman yesterday. Reached home around 7.30pm. The kitchen was in a mess! Plates piled up high, oily stove and floor, a mountain of dirty laundry.. the list goes on.

Since Ema (my maid) left 2 weeks ago.. I'm still trying to adapt. Serves me right for taking the maid's services for granted. I never had to worry about housework. It used to be so easy...

Upon reaching home, I first cleared the kitchen sink. Next was to wash the laundry and heat up the remainig food for dinner. After that came the oily stove, cooking rice and moping of the kitchen floor. while waiting for the kitchen floor to dry, I even managed to vacuum the whole house!

Felt so pleased with myself for being able to do so much. Was about to turn on the TV when I saw the piles of clothes to be ironed... I cringed ... lets just leave it for the weekend... hehe!

Lately, work has become a bore. Doing the same thing over the years.. I think it's starting to get to me. Hopefully things will get better.

Meeting the girls for dinner today. So long since we last met.. has it been 6 mths? If I'm not wrong, the last time we met was during my dad's funeral. Really looking forward to meet them.. they've always managed to cheer me up.

Feeling a bit down lately. Thought of my late father keep coming back to me. It creeps up when I least expect it. I've yet to visit his grave. I don't know if I really don't have time.. or if it's just me. I've always been a coward. It suddenly feels like I'm avoiding reality.. avoiding the fact that he's gone forever.

Haiyz.. u see how much I need to go out? Just have fun with no thought of what tomorrow might bring.. I'm sick of this heavy feeling.

But again.. maybe its just me and my imagination. It will pass...

Happy but sleepy...

Goodness gracious me!

The last few days have been exhausting. I've been sleeping late and have not had the time to do any housework at all!

Sunday, we went to the IT Fair at Suntec City with hubby, mak, my sis and her kids. The crowd was overwhelming! I had the strongest urge to turn back and go home. But, we had a mission and I refuse to give up.

So we endured, at least me and hubby did. Mak and the rest decided to go shop around. After being pushed and shoved around countless of times, we made our purchase. Luckily we had done our research at home. The purchase was made quickly. But the queue.. masya-allah! Nasib baiklah, aku penyabar orangnya.. Hahaha! Nak tak nak, still have to wait. I'm so happy with my purchase.. my new notebook and printer will be my best friend for now.

But the day was still not over. We had a quick dinner after that and shopped around at Carrefour. When I finally reched home, it was close to 12mn. I still had to wait up for hubby to come home. He's gone to Mak's place to help them install the new DVD player they just bought.

I expected to go home early on Monday. Was all ready to rush home after work. Hubby was also on course nearby, so I had free transport home. Tetapi malangnya, hubby had other plans for us :(

First stop was to Upp Boon Keng. Mum-in-law used to stay there before she moved in with us. So before the flat is being returned to HDB, there were some things to be dismantled. After that, it was to Paya Lebar where hubby and anothar friend proceeded to 'repair motor'.

It was 12mn when we finally reached home. By then, I was having gastrics and nearly could not walk up to the flat. I think the look on my face must have scared hubby a bit, cos he quickly fixed me a cheese sandwich. Hee.. malu pulak aku. Patut aku yang siap kan dier makan, ni the other way round pulak.

Ngantuk-ngantuk pun, we still took out the notebook.. nak try katakan.. Tapi kecundang juga aku. Ada problem dgn notebook and all we got was a blank screen! Haiyz.. malangnyer nasib ku.

After several calls and a trip down to Funan Centre, the notebook is finally up and running.. Hurray!

New Laptop

Oh yeah.. yeah .. yeah...!!

Finally got my new laptop from the IT Fair yesterday. My feet hurts and I'm still sleepy cos I can't sleep last night (due to the excitement maybe..), but it's all definitely worth it! I can't stop smiling to myself and I feel like jumping up and down like a kid.. hee!

My blue Toshiba M100.. I can't wait to meet you tonight!

Hahahah.... :)

The weekend's over again... and I'm bugged by the Monday blues..

Neway, we went to Fifi's engagement and Erna's wedding on 26th Feb. Congrats to both.. may you be happy with your chosen ones. We later went to Costa Sands to stay the night with my family. However, didn't manage to do much for Dear's birthday. My sister's mother in law passed away on the following Monday.. so I had to help her look after the kids. But we did go to Ikea on Tuesday to buy some shelves and stuff to makeover our room. After that it was back to work.

Yesterday, I got a sudden urge to bake some brownies! But I cheated and took the easy way out. Bought the pre-mix from Shop n Save, mixed it with eggs, water and oil.. and voila! I even had time to vacuum the house while it was baking in the oven. Hee hee...!

Lately, the news and papers were filled with the story about Nonoi, the 2-yr old girl who was murdered by her step-father. I share the family's grief and give them my condolences.
